Account for what is below the surface
A pile of cut vegetation does not represent the whole load if you are also lifting soil, stones, paving or concrete edging. Soil, rocks, bricks, concrete, asphalt and tiles are excluded from light builders bins. Describe the materials you expect to remove and ask the team to assess their suitability before mixing the garden waste together.
Estimate the material you will actually remove
Separate the amount being discarded from material that will remain on site or be reused in the new layout. Heavy builders and excavation bins are limited to 2m³–8m³, so a large-looking project does not automatically call for the largest household bin. Tell the office if the scope might change once existing edging or paving is lifted.
Time the skip around landscape deliveries
Consider where replacement soil, plants and other supplies will be unloaded while the bin is present. Include any shared vehicle access and the proposed position in your request. Standard hire is 3–5 days, with delivery and collection Monday–Saturday. Confirm the sequence with your contractor before requesting dates, especially if removal depends on another stage of work.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
