Measure the awkward items in the plan
Consider desks, cabinets, shelving and chairs alongside the smaller contents being discarded. Their shapes affect usable bin space, so do not choose a size from the number of boxes alone. Household bins range from 2m³ to 30m³. Ask the office about bin dimensions if a particularly large item or restricted placement area could determine the choice.
Keep records and uncertain equipment separate
Remove documents and storage devices that need a separate privacy-conscious disposal process before the general clear-out begins. Batteries are prohibited in GetBins bins. Describe any electrical equipment or other uncertain items to the office rather than assuming they can be loaded with furniture. This gives you time to arrange alternatives for anything the team cannot accept.
Avoid blocking the replacement setup
Plan the bin position around the entrance needed for new furniture and any household vehicles. Include shared driveways, gates and overhead restrictions in the access notes. Request delivery when the unwanted items are identified and ready, and allow for collection within the confirmed arrangement. Standard hire is 3–5 days, with delivery and collection available Monday–Saturday.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
