Distinguish vegetation from excavated material
Write separate estimates for garden material, old outdoor items and anything dug or broken out of the ground. Soil, rocks, bricks, concrete, asphalt and tiles cannot go in a light-waste load. If pavers or masonry are involved, describe their type and approximate quantity for assessment. Heavy mixed bins range from 2m³ to 8m³; a large light bin is not a substitute for the correct heavy category.
Assess the proposed position before clearing a route
If you hope to place the bin near a rear garden, send photographs and explain gates, slopes, surfaces and overhead obstacles. Do not assume that a vehicle route used for gardening equipment is suitable for the delivery truck. The office needs to confirm access. Also consider the distance over which workers will carry material and keep normal household entry available throughout the project.
Match the hire to the messy stage
Complete decisions about what stays before the bin arrives, then coordinate cutting, dismantling or excavation around the confirmed loading period. Standard hire is 3–5 days with Monday–Saturday operations. Tell the office if the project timing depends on other trades or conditions. Keep prohibited asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres out, including anything uncovered while clearing long-unused storage areas or corners of the garden.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
