Confirm how items will reach the bin
Check any lift booking, loading-area arrangement or shared-access requirement with the relevant building contact. Tell the office whether the proposed location is on private property and how it will be reached. Do not rely on a moving van having used the space previously: a skip-bin truck needs its own access assessment. Identify who can meet the driver if access is controlled.
Separate moving waste from unwanted furniture
Unpacking materials and a few discarded furnishings can require different amounts of space. Make an inventory of the largest pieces and photograph the overall pile before requesting a size. Household and light bins span 2m³ to 30m³, subject to the chosen waste category and booking confirmation. Mattresses cannot go in the bin, so keep them outside the planned load and arrange a separate solution.
Leave time for a final check
Schedule the sort before delivery rather than relying on the last hours of the tenancy. Standard hire is 3–5 days with Monday–Saturday operations; confirm the collection date against any key-return deadline. Remove batteries and liquid paints from cupboards, and keep tyres and asbestos out. If a renovation is happening alongside the move, describe demolition materials separately so the office can assess the correct category.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
