Identify every layer being removed
Describe carpet, underlay, boards, tiles and any material beneath the surface that will be taken out. Tiles and concrete are not light waste, even if the rest of the project produces mostly packaging or furnishings. Heavy mixed bins range from 2m³ to 8m³. If the layers are not yet known, ask the installer to clarify before choosing the category or committing to a bin size.
Account for bulky rolls and long pieces
Floor area alone does not tell you how much space the removed material will occupy. Explain whether it will arrive as rolls, loose pieces or dismantled sections, and ask for advice if the estimate is uncertain. Household and light-waste options range from 2m³ to 30m³. Keep the existing furniture separate from the discard pile while rooms are being emptied so usable items are not loaded accidentally.
Place the bin around the installer’s workflow
Tell the office about the driveway approach, gates, overhead obstacles and the route from the rooms to the proposed position. Leave access for deliveries of new flooring and other household movement. Standard hire is 3–5 days with Monday–Saturday operations; coordinate removal with confirmed dates. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited, and unidentified older material needs assessment before anyone disturbs or loads it.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.

GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
