Describe the source and condition of each material
List redundant fixtures, packaging, offcuts and any building material separately. Explain if items have coatings, residues or an uncertain history, rather than labelling the entire load general waste. Commercial and workshop materials need individual assessment when their category is unclear. Household and light-waste bins span 2m³ to 30m³, while heavy mixed options span 2m³ to 8m³; capacity should follow the agreed waste category.
Keep prohibited and unidentified items aside
Liquid paints, batteries, tyres, mattresses and asbestos are prohibited. Do not pour liquids into the bin or include closed containers without understanding what they contain. Ask the office about unfamiliar materials before staff begin loading. Light waste also excludes soil, bricks, concrete, rocks, asphalt and tiles. If yard repairs or demolition are part of the clean-up, identify those materials independently from the workshop contents.
Coordinate placement with site operations
Send details of entry controls, gates, overhead obstacles, the truck approach and the proposed position. Nominate a site contact who can keep that area available and explain other vehicle movements. Standard hire is 3–5 days with Monday–Saturday operations; arrange staff loading time around confirmed dates. Keep retained stock and working equipment clearly separate from the discard pile, particularly when several teams are contributing material.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
