Empty and sort the contents first
Identify the belongings you are retaining before estimating the discard pile. Shelving, old furniture and boxed items can take more space than expected once spread out. Household and light-waste bins range from 2m³ to 30m³, but acceptance depends on the actual materials. Check containers carefully: batteries, liquid paints and tyres are prohibited, as are mattresses and asbestos. Keep unidentified workshop contents aside for advice.
Check what dismantling will expose
If the shed itself is being removed, describe its cladding, floor, base and supports separately from its contents. Bricks, concrete, tiles, rocks, asphalt and soil cannot go in a light-waste bin. Heavy mixed bins span 2m³ to 8m³. Have suspicious or unidentified building material assessed before disturbing it; do not load it simply because it came from a domestic garden structure.
Leave a clear route through the project
Send the office details of gates, the truck approach, overhead obstacles and your preferred bin position. Consider where retained shed contents will sit while the structure is being worked on, keeping them out of the loading route. Standard hire is 3–5 days with Monday–Saturday operations. Coordinate dismantling with the confirmed hire window rather than using the bin as long-term storage while project decisions are still being made.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
