Count bulky pieces and check what stays
Record wardrobes, drawers, shelving and other furniture being discarded, including pieces that cannot be safely dismantled. Empty them first and separate retained belongings from the loading pile. Household and light-waste bins range from 2m³ to 30m³, but several awkward items can occupy space differently from loose rubbish. Send photographs and ask for advice rather than choosing only by the number of rooms being refreshed.
Arrange a separate solution for mattresses
Mattresses are prohibited and cannot be added to a household bin as part of a bedroom clear-out. Batteries, liquid paints, tyres and asbestos are also excluded. If the refresh includes flooring or building work, describe that material separately: soil, bricks, concrete, rocks, asphalt and tiles cannot go in light waste. Check drawers, bedside storage and old boxes so prohibited items are not accidentally carried outside with furniture.
Coordinate old furniture removal with new arrivals
Explain where the truck can approach and where the bin could stand, including gates, overhead obstacles and any driveway space required for other deliveries. Keep an entry route available for the replacement furniture and household use. Standard hire is 3–5 days with Monday–Saturday operations, with dates confirmed by the office. Sort and measure first, then arrange helpers around the agreed window so loading does not compete with unpacking new items.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
