Inventory the waste rather than the room
Separate items being retained or transferred from materials approved for disposal. Record the largest shelving sections or fixtures and describe the quantity and type of packaging. Commercial goods may need specific acceptance advice, so avoid assuming all stock fits household or light waste. These bin categories offer sizes from 2m³ to 30m³, but the office should assess the actual materials before you settle on capacity.
Preserve access to working stock
Choose a staging area that keeps retained goods identifiable and normal movement through the workplace possible. Explain any loading-area arrangement, shared yard, gates, overhead obstacles and proposed truck approach. Nominate someone who can meet the driver and make sure the agreed bin position is available. If regular suppliers use the same space, coordinate those movements rather than assuming all deliveries can fit together.
Check residues, equipment and project timing
Batteries, liquid paints, tyres, mattresses and asbestos are prohibited. Ask about equipment or unfamiliar commercial materials before adding them to the load. If building work accompanies the clean-up, list it separately: light waste excludes soil, bricks, concrete, rocks, asphalt and tiles. Standard hire is 3–5 days with Monday–Saturday operations. Complete the stock decisions early, then organise staff loading time around the office-confirmed delivery and collection dates.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
