Walk through each area with the same list
Record bulky furniture, stored rubbish and outdoor items separately, including what you plan to keep. This avoids underestimating because each room appears to contain only a small pile. Note awkward pieces that cannot be safely dismantled and send photographs if the volume is difficult to judge. Household and light-waste sizes range from 2m³ to 30m³, with the suitable option dependent on the actual load.
Keep dense outdoor materials in their own estimate
A backyard corner may contain leftover pavers, soil or rubble that changes the category of the combined job. Light waste excludes soil, bricks, concrete, rocks, asphalt and tiles. Heavy mixed bins span 2m³ to 8m³; talk to the office before adding those materials to a household clear-out. Keep asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres out entirely, including items found inside old storage containers.
Sequence the loading across the property
Plan which area will be cleared first and keep the carrying routes usable as the job progresses. Explain the truck approach, gates, overhead obstacles and proposed placement for access assessment. Arrange helpers after delivery dates are confirmed, with the standard 3–5-day hire period and Monday–Saturday operations in mind. Leave time to inspect every area before collection rather than discovering another large pile after the bin is ready to leave.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
