Keep retained pieces away from the loading area
Identify furniture, fittings and building components that will be kept or removed by someone else. Store them separately from rubbish so the person loading the skip has a clear instruction. Then estimate only the material actually being discarded. Include awkward or bulky pieces in the enquiry rather than choosing capacity solely from the number of rooms being renovated.
Describe each demolition material
Cabinetry and floor coverings can be accompanied by tiles, masonry or concrete when work expands. Light builders bins exclude tiles, bricks, concrete, soil, rocks and asphalt. Heavy builders and excavation options are limited to 2m³–8m³. Let the office assess the full mix before trades begin loading, and ask about any material that has not been identified.
Review the proposed position with the site contact
Explain gate arrangements, overhead obstacles and the route needed by other deliveries. Discuss the suitability of the placement surface with the office rather than assuming any driveway position will work. If the project needs several removal stages, describe their timing when enquiring. Standard hire is 3–5 days; additional arrangements and all requested dates require confirmation.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
