Describe the approach as well as the position
A courtyard or parking area may look large enough for a bin while its entrance is unsuitable for the delivery vehicle. Tell the office about gates, turns, overhead obstacles and any shared approach. Ask for the actual dimensions of the proposed bin rather than estimating from photographs. Placement remains subject to assessment of the whole access route.
Choose around what will be ready to load
If storage space is limited, decide which part of the clear-out can be completed during one hire. Include the largest furniture or renovation pieces when requesting a size recommendation. Household and light builders bins range from 2m³ to 30m³, but the waste category comes first. Tiles, bricks, concrete, soil, rocks and asphalt are excluded from light builders loads.
Resolve alternative placement before delivery day
If suitable private space cannot be identified, explain the proposed public-area position and check the applicable requirements before requesting delivery. Do not rely on an available parking spot as approval. Coordinate loading help around the standard 3–5 day hire and Monday–Saturday operations, and maintain access for collection once the clear-out is finished.
Placement on public land
If private-property placement is not possible, ask our office before selecting a road or nature-strip position. Check the permissions and placement conditions that apply to the exact address with the relevant authority. Submitting a booking request does not issue a permit.
Before you book
GetBins operates Monday–Saturday. Asbestos, mattresses, liquid paints, batteries and tyres are prohibited. Prices and allowances depend on the selected waste category. Our office confirms your exact address, access, available dates and total price before payment; an online request is not yet a confirmed booking.
